Royal Navy showdown as vessel threatened by four small boats in Red Sea

The Royal Navy reported a new clash happening at the mouth of the Red Sea, as an Iran-backed militia continues to threaten ships and oil tankers they claimed are linked to Israel.

In the latest incident caused by the Yemenite group Houthis, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said that four small boats each carrying four or five people had approached a vessel transiting northeast of Djibouti.

The unit, part of the Royal Navy and focus on monitoring threats at sea, did not identify the vessel.
