IRVINE, CA – March 2011 – Cahootie®, the modern-day reincarnation of the iconic, handmade “cootie-catcher” and “fortune-teller” game, will showcase their products at the Girl Power Expo on May 7, 2011, an event designed to help build self-esteem for girls ages 8 and older.
Since its debut in 2008, the Girl Power Expo has impacted the lives of more than 1,000 young women. This year’s goal is to reach more than 10,000 girls. Over 100 exhibitors will be present at the Capitol Clubhouse in Waldorf, MD offering beauty, personal care, health, well-being, fashion and accessory products.
“This event aligns perfectly with Cahootie’s goal to promote esteem-building conversation and positive self-expression. By working with events such as the Girl Power Expo, we are able to make a difference in the lives of the youth in our communities,” said Cahootie CEO Blythe Jack.
In addition to hosting a booth at the expo, Cahootie is also providing 500 of the company’s Girl Wonders product to be included in gift bags that will be distributed to attendees. This theme inspires young girls to make a difference in the world. Additional Cahooties will be available for purchase at the booth.
Cahootie has long supported the work of organizations that enrich the lives of children across the country, by providing products to a number of institutions including Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana, and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
